Media Studies "Staticky Staticity"


After working with expandable foam for a few weeks, we treated it as something fluid, taking an organic form of its own. We combined it with various everyday materials and made it seems as if it could squish itself or drip everywhere becoming almost uncomfortable. In this sense I started looking at something similar which can pass everywhere almost adhering its shape to that of others while still maintaining a level of unease when addressed. Therefore I decided to work with cables

The design challenge was to create a stage with our "material" by making it interactive while demonstrating an obvious sense of expertise and technique. Besides showing the stage through pictures we were also asked to come up with a video. 

After making a video of the stage, I implemented a small portion of it into a green room in order to put it into a different context. In real life the stage was arranged inside a Georgian style room which created quite a nice contrast between the digital and the old. Because of the lighting it was not possible to take really good pictures of the stage and that is why I started working with the green room.

HarvardX GSD1 course assignment on Brunelleschi and perspective

     Here I have decided to share some of my assignments during my online certified course "Architectural Imagination" from Harvard.  Prompt 1  :  In  one to two paragraphs , reflect on how the idea of perspective orients the viewer and helps construct  a specific understanding of the Renaissance architectural imagination .  Review the prompt and the following images of Brunelleschi's church of San Lorenzo.       While considering Brunelleschi's church of San Lorenzo we can deduce that linear perspective plays a major role on its construction.
